The Richland R-IV Schools, comprised of an elementary and junior high/high school make up the heart of our town.  We take great pride in our school; it is one of the first in the nation with access to the information highway through the Internet System. In addition, Richland R-IV has received the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Educations highest rating, Fully Accredited.

Whether local folks are gathering in support of the Bears in basketball, tennis, golf, softball or baseball; or sharing a Thanksgiving meal at the Annual Senior Citizens Dinner, they are always welcomed because the school belongs to the community.

The school takes great pride in all the student activities. Students have won district and state contests in several sports, band and choir and awards in Future Farmers of America, Future Homemakers of America, Industrial Arts, VICA, Mu Alpha Theta, History Club, Frisco League Arts Fair, newspaper and several other academic activities.

We are within a short driving distance of some of Missouri's finest Universities and Colleges; the University of Missouri, University of Missouri at Rolla, SouthwestMissouriStateUniversity, and several private colleges and universities.  We are only 30 minutes from university extensions at Ft Leonard Wood and Lebanon.
